Jim Hawkins is a young boy who helps his mother run the Admiral Benbow Inn. But when Billy Bones arrives with a treasure map, pirates descend on the Inn to take the map back. Jim enlists the help of his friend Squire Trelawney, Dr Livesey and Captain Smollet to go in search of the missing treasure with the map as a guide. But Long John Silver and his pirate crew are along for the ride and mean to take the treasure for themselves.
