About us

10 years of INCREDIBLE FRINGE THEATRE in Stratford-upon-Avon

Tread the Boards Theatre Company was founded in 2008 by John-Robert Partridge and Catherine Prout and became the resident company at The Attic Theatre in 2009. 

The Theatre in Cox’s Yard is a grade II listed timber yard in the heart of Stratford-upon-Avon boasting the original features of the building visible in the auditorium.

The company work with professional actors, designers and directors from across the country. Working alongside them are a team of front of house and box office volunteers.

The company have co produced productions with The Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, Something Wicked Theatre Company and The Cidermill Theatre, running events for English Heritage, Wethele Manor, Jaguar Land Rover alongside with working with local venues The White Swan Hotel, The Falcon Hotel, Wildwood Kitchen and The Royal Shakespeare Company.

The theatre aims to produce high quality productions ranging from adapted classics, new writing, family shows, pantomimes, comedy nights and musicals.
