Casting

We are always looking to welcome new actors to the theatre. If you interested in any of the roles below, please get in touch by sending your headshot and CV to   casting@treadtheboardstheatre.co.uk along with which part you are interested in and confirmation that you are available for all rehearsal and performance dates. We try to respond to every email but due to the number of responses we receive and the small team working at the theatre, we apologise that we are unable to respond personally to everyone.[Current Roles]All actors receive a guarantee plus a share of the profits. Work with us

We are a small team, with many of us working full time jobs alongside our work at the theatre. We value professional and talented individuals and are always looking to offer development opportunities to those in our communities. We are also able to train those looking to expand their skills.

If you would like to develop your skills, get back into the world of theatre, or learn a new skill then we’d love to hear from you. Get in contact by emailing treadtheboardstech@gmail.com letting us know in which are you are interested in working and what previous skills you have in the area.​

Areas we are looking for include:

  • Lighting and sound design and operation
  • Set design, paint and build
  • Prop making, maintaining and sourcing
  • Production management
  • Stage management
  • Costume design, making and sourcing

Volunteering

We are always on the lookout for talented individuals to come and join our team. No experience is necessary for any of our volunteer roles, all training will be provided. Front of House Assistants

We are looking for a warm welcoming person to join our team of volunteers as a Front of House Assistant. Tread the Boards Theatre Company are a family run business and are looking for volunteers who will embrace working with us. Previous experience of Front of house assistance is not necessary as full training will be given. The company are Stratford upon Avon’s Number One Fringe Theatre and winners of various awards and we are keen to welcome people on board that will help continue our professionalism and high standing within the community. Free tickets will be provided for every production worked plus the chance to watch the production when working.

Duties include:

  • Welcoming visitors to the venue
  • Offering information on the site, the current and upcoming performances
  • Selling programmes and other merchandise
  • Manning the Box Office by selling tickets and giving information on future shows
  • Sitting in the venue watching the production and reacting to audience needs

In these strange and challenging times while the world fights Covid-19, The Attic Theatre and Tread the Boards Theatre have been forced to take the decision to close their doors in Stratford-upon-Avon for the safety of our actors, creatives and audiences.
